In the early morning, Sealife Legend Cruises organized a Vietnam’s traditional martial arts (Vovinam) class to welcome the dawn on the bay. While Taichi displays slow movements, combined with mental refresh and breath balance, Vovinam is famous for the flexible movements of the whole body from head to toes and carrying strength inside each step.
Only Sealife Legend Cruises offer Vovinam for travellers to experience. The class offen begins at 6:00 before guests enjoy light breakfast. Vovinam is based on Vietnamese traditional subjects. Vovinam involves the use of the hands, elbows, legs, knees and weapons such as swords, knives, chisels, claws, fans.
The reason why the Sealife Legend Cruises use the Vovinam instead of Tai Chi to introduce to our guests is that the cruise is created with the philosophy of Yin and Yang balance, which is reflected in Vovinam the best. The yin and yang states that everything in the universe and on earth is initiated through the interrelation of Yin and Yang. As to this theory there are martial arts that prefer the hard over the soft and others that prefer the soft over the hard. However, Vovinam does not prefer any over the other. Hard and soft are used equally to adapt to every situation, to every problem.
There are two Vovinam or Taichi clothes in the closet of Sealife Legend’s suites for guests to wear for the class.
